Recycle Christmas Stamps; Help Pets
Leading veterinary charity, PDSA, is appealing for members of the public to help pets in need of vets by recycling their used postage stamps. At this time of year, with people frantically posting Christmas cards to friends and family, households will be receiving even more post than usual so this is the perfect opportunity to start recycling them for pets in need of vets.
Every ton of recycled stamps raises an amazing £1,500 – money that could be used to buy a heated operating table at one of 47 PetAid hospitals.
Supporters are asked to donate all types of stamps; first class, second class, foreign and special collections for recycling. They should be sent to: PDSA Stamp Appeal, P.O. Box 9191, Wishaw, Lanarkshire, ML2 0YB. Once received, the stamps are sorted, weighed and then recycled, helping to raise much-needed funds for the charity to provide free veterinary treatment for the sick and injured pets of people in need.
